River Relay 2026

The River Relay is a baton relay run over five stages…

…from Boveney to Kingston-upon-Thames, finishing at Bushy Park Sports Club.

Brilliantly organised by the Stragglers AC, the stages range from 4.4 to 6.5 miles over friendly terrain and is an excellent introduction to relay racing. It is very friendly, very well supported and suitable for all levels and abilities. Everyone is welcome to run.

This year’s race will take place on Sunday 6 September, starting at 8.45am. A full map of the course, with details of the five stages is available here >

We’d love to get as many people involved as possible and are hoping to field up to five teams of five runners each. These can be mixed teams, with at least one woman in each, or all-women teams, depending on who signs up. Please note that all runners must be 18 years+.

We’ll also need drivers, and ideally a few cars too, to help get everyone around and keep costs as low as possible. The club will pay for race entries but additional race expenses will be divided equally between the team members.
