NIGHT OF 3K RACES • EPIC LOCATION • FESTIVAL VIBES
Run in a wave with people of similar pace - and be cheered in by your friends and teammates to our grandstand finish line!
Make an evening of it: Before and after your run, enjoy drinks, pizza, music and some electric racing in a relaxed festival style atmosphere, as the evening culminates with the Men’s and Women’s Elite races at sunset.

When you register, you’ll be asked for an estimate of your 5k time (be honest!). We’ll seed you with runners of a similar pace, with a maximum of 50 people per race wave.
Race waves will get faster through the evening, culminating in Men’s and Women’s Elite races at sunset (around 9.20 pm)
Each race will have prize for the winner. If you run one of the top three current fastest times of the evening, you’ll be invited to take your place on our Speed Bench - until your time is beaten!
After you’ve run, grab a drink and some pizza and join everyone along the finish straight to cheer in the next race waves! -

Public transport: Bus routes 65 and 371 stop directly by the start/finish area. For routes & travel info, please see the Transport for London website (postcode TW10 7AH).
Parking: There is no free on-street parking directly by the start and finish area. Other streets may offer options but any parking is at your own risk. We ask you to please be considerate of local residents.
We strongly recommend the use of public transport or cycling over driving.

Toilets: There will be ample portable toilets on site.
Bags: There is dedicated bag drop area, which will be manned throughout.
Post race: There will be a bar, pizza van and, once the evening is over we’ll head to the Fox and Duck pub for a proper debrief!

This race is a different format to the rest of the Road League.
At the end of the evening, we’ll produce a speed order list of finishers, which will count towards the Surrey Road League individual and team results.
So don’t let up, whichever wave you’re in, literally every second counts!

Individual prizes for Women and Open Podium, plus Age Categories:
Podium: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
35 – 44: 1st
45 – 54: 1st
55 – 64: 1st
65 - 74: 1st
75+: 1st
If you are eligible for a Podium and an Age Category prize, the greater value prize will be awarded. The other prize will be offered to the next finisher after.

For many years we’ve been consciously trying to reduce our environmental impact - not just as a club, but also across everything we do; particularly our running events.
We understand that many love a medal, or a t-shirt, to commemorate a race - after all, it's great to receive something when you've crossed the finish line.
We don't deny that medals are great to receive on the day; however we do feel that after that, they simply sit in people's drawers and are never seen again.
They also have a significant environmental impact, and we don’t want to continue contributing to this waste.
So as a symbol of your achievement, we've got some awesome race patches for you instead.
Unique to our race, you can sew them onto a bag or a tracksuit or even just use them as a coaster.
However you use them, we hope that you’ll treasure them a little more than a medal, as an embodiment of the joy of running we all share.
The Course
A flat and fast 3km out-and-back course, primarily traffic free, with the start and finish located on Ham Avenues.
Whether you are chasing a PB or soaking up the atmosphere with friends, expect a high energy night of racing with food, drinks, and post race celebrations at the local pub.

From the start, runners proceed straight along Ham Avenues, before turning right alongside Ham House.
The route bears left to run in front on Ham House towards Ham Street. Runners turn left to run north along Ham Street.
The turning point is after the Orangery, after which runners retrace the same route back down Ham Street and return via Ham Avenues.
The course finishes with a final straight of approximately 400 metres on Ham Avenues.
The route consists of a combination of traffic-free hard trail and tarmac/road surfaces. There are no technical sections, and the course is predominantly flat.

The race is fully chip timed.
Race numbers and chips will be available to collect from 5pm on race day near the start/finish area on Ham Avenues.

Hydration: Water will be available at the finish.
Support: Each kilometre will be marked out and marshals will be at all turns on the route.

The event will operate using a wave-start format, with runners released in small groups based on similar expected pace.
This is to support safe movement on the course, maintain even runner flow, and minimise congestion at key points.

All Ranelagh Harriers events will adhere to the UKA Rules for Competition. Minimum general entry age is 15 years old on race day.
U13s are permitted to run in the first “charity” wave, but must confirm they have parental consent to attend the event at registration and provide contact details for a parent or guardian.
Roads will not be closed to traffic. Please keep to the left-hand side, run on the pavement where possible, and observe the Highway Code. Please also be mindful of other road users, runners, cyclists, and spectators.
In the event of unexpected maintenance or flooding, well-marked course diversions may be introduced, which will be announced as soon as possible.
As this is not a closed road race, UK Athletics rules prohibit the use of in ear and over ear headphones for your safety and for the safety of others in the race. Failing to observe this rule could result in disqualification. However, bone conducting headphones are permitted
Regrettably, the course is not suitable for wheelchair users as it varies, and is uneven in stretches. Blind or partially-sighted runners may be accompanied, but other runners must not be accompanied or followed by non-race participants (eg: a runner or bicycle).
Dogs are not permitted, except where an exemption has been granted by the Race Director for a medical assistance dog.
Refunds, cancellations, deferrals or transfers
All entries are non-refundable. The only exception to this is pregnancy. If you become pregnant between now and race day, we can offer a refund or a deferral for up to 2 years.
In other exceptional cases you may be able to defer your entry to the next race within the same calendar year (for example from the Half Marathon to the 10K).
In the unlikely event of a cancellation by us, we will refund all entries less fees. In the event that the race has to be postponed due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control, entries will be carried forward to another date, to be advised.
You can transfer your number to someone else for a £5 admin fee up to 1 week before race day.
To do this, please login to your registration using your email and booking reference found on your confirmation email.
Once logged in, enter the email of the person to whom you want to transfer your race place. That person will then be emailed an invitation to register and pay the £5 fee.
