100 Miles. One Great Cause.
Behind so Much of Ranelagh club life…
… you’ll often find the Hillhouse family lending their time, support and generosity.
Whether it’s sponsoring our races, transporting equipment, keeping runners hydrated, maintaining our clubhouse, volunteering for everything or firing up the BBQ at social events, Robbie, Gavin and the wider Hillhouse family have become a huge part of what keeps our club running so smoothly.
Now Robbie is taking on an enormous challenge of his own.
On 13 June, he will run the South Downs Way 100, a gruelling 100-mile non-stop ultramarathon from Winchester to Eastbourne, to raise money for Ruils SEND Support Services for families in Richmond and surrounding areas .
Paced by brother Gavin and supported by wife Michele and friends, Robbie is aiming to raise an ambitious £10,000 to help fund workshops, one-to-one support and befriending services for local families.
It is an extraordinary challenge in support of a charity doing hugely important work within our community.
Fundraising, community spirit and people coming together for a good cause sit right at the heart of what Ranelagh is about, which is why we’re proud to support Robbie as he takes on this huge challenge.
So we’re asking you to get behind Robbie over the coming weeks. Whether that’s through making a donation, sharing his fundraising details, or simply cheering him on, every bit of support will help Robbie move closer to that incredible £10,000 goal.
We’ll also be holding a club social fundraiser after training on Tuesday 9 June at the clubhouse. Everyone is warmly welcome, with more details to follow soon.
