Page Cup Handicap

Traditionally our 2nd cross-country handicap* fixture..

… the Page Cup (5 miles or 8km) event is open to all club members.

Donated to the club in 1883 by W.C. Page Esq, it is one of the club’s oldest trophies. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 finishers, the 3 fastest men and the 3 fastest women. The first person across the line will take home the Page Cup.

HOW DOES A HANDICAP WORK?

Runners are awarded individual start times based on recent performances. The one with the most generous handicap will start first, with subsequent runners starting after at their allotted time. If done accurately, everyone should finish the race at roughly the same time. To ensure fairness, you must have run a minimum of 3 club events to be awarded a handicap, otherwise you will compete as a guest.

Entry is FREE but you must fill in this form @ https://bit.ly/page2025 ⬅️ by 23:59 on Wednesday 29 January to allow the club handicapper time to do their job.

Kindly note that no on-the-day entries are permitted.

VOLUNTEERS

As always, we really need volunteers to help with marshalling, time-keeping & numbers. So if you’re not planning to run, please consider volunteering to help out. Duties are very light and it’s a fun day out, with lots of opportunity to cheer your friends along 👏

If you’re able to volunteer, for however long, please email coordinator@ranelagh-harriers.co.uk ⬅️
