2. Venue: Chobham Common, 220 Chobham Rd, Chobham, Ascot GU24 8TL: Chobham Common Roundabout Car Park (W3W: Activism.stem.trying)


3. Parking: Parking (limited spaces) at the starting area at the roundabout car park. There are 3 parking areas in walking distance (see map). For the parking areas at Staple Hill, please use the passage under the M3 to get to the starting area, as marked with the red line on the map below.


4. Travelling to venue: Nearest train station is Sunningdale (1.7m). After crossing the railway bridge in Sunningdale, you will find a metal barrier on your left to enter the common. This path will be part of the race route. Alternatively, you could follow the main road.


5. Course Description: The start-line is at the car park area. The whole route is undulated, however the first half mainly down and the second half mainly uphill. There are no real sharp climbs. The underfoot is hard, quite rocky paths and only a few muddy sections. Minimum spike length likely to be needed – solid trail shoes might be preferred choice. Paths are wide enough to overtake, except for the last 500m back to the starting area. The race is 2 loops of 3.8km each.


6. Course Safety: First aiders will be on the course. If you are in serious problem or you see a runner in serious problem, please stop to help them out. Get help from a marshal immediately. All our marshals will contact our first aider immediately. Don’t forget your race number and completing the health information on the reverse. This is cross country so expect uneven surfaces, tree roots, trip hazards, muddy areas, fallen trees / branches and any other obstacles. The courses will be marked and marshalled by volunteers / club members in hi-vis bibs. Watch out for cyclists, other runners, pedestrians, children and dogs around the course. If you’re watching, keep clear of runners on the course, and look after any children and dogs you may have with you.  Please treat the environment and local nature with respect and take any litter home with you – even if you didn’t bring it.


7. Miscellaneous: There are no changing facilities available at the venue, so please come ready to run. Toilets will be provided for (Portaloo).
