Event Details

Our last home mob match of the season. It shall incorporate the club vets/ masters championships.

3pm start from the top of Queens Ride (see point “A” on the course map attached) with registration at the start beforehand. For completeness, this is the same starting point as the Clutton Cup and Inter-Club match v Milocarians and Stragglers.

The clubhouse shall be open before and after the race for changing and refreshments.

THH hosted last time, including a supper in the evening at a local pub. As we will be hosting this year and in return for their generosity, we are planning a buffet supper at the Roebuck after the mob match and would love to see as many Ranelagh members as possible – whether you are running, supporting or along for the experience.18:00 Saturday 30th April 2022Roebuck Richmond HillBuffett served from18:30 onwards in the upstairs function roomPrice per head £12.00In order to plan for numbers and catering we would appreciate your time in completing this short survey. 2 laps of attached course with start and finish at the top of Queens Ride. A short lap shall be added to make up the usual mob match distance. The short lap shall precede the aforementioned 2 laps and shall proceed down Queens Ride and circumnavigate Jubilee Plantation (i.e. one lap around Jubilee Plantation).

Mob Match

Scoring: Usual mob match format so the smallest team number less 3 to score and the club scoring the least number of points overall being the winner.  If for example Ranelagh field 50 runners and Thames 45 runners then we score 42 a side. The winner scores 1 point, the second 2 points and so on down to last place. The Club scoring the lease points is declared the winner. Everyone helps to score – Each Thames runner you pass makes Ranelagh 2 points better off.

Club championships: The race incorporates our club veterans / masters championships for the Hastings Cup (over 40), the McDowell Salver (over 50) and the Maslin Mug (over 60).
