This is a club-wide call for volunteers – we need EVERYONE’S help for a large variety of marshalling duties as we host the 1st match of this season’s Surrey League on Saturday 14 October in Richmond Park. The event will be quite large and so we need as many people as possible to ensure the event’s success.
These races take place thanks to the volunteers who marshal the course and record athletes’ times and places at the finish. It is a significant undertaking for host clubs and all offers of assistance from clubmates, friends or family out on the course or at the finish, will be greatly appreciated, even if it’s only for one race.
So whether you volunteer all day or just for a few hours, it will all be very helpful.
Duties will vary, according to experience but where applicable, training will be provided – the majority of roles require no experience at all. Kindly note that all minors MUST be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
To volunteer, please fill in this simple form AS SOON AS POSSIBLE: https://bit.ly/surreyvolunteer2023 👈

💙 Sunday 15 October : Cabbage Patch 10 💛
Our friends from The Stragglers are also looking for volunteers for their event Cabbage Patch 10, taking place Sunday 15 October in the Twickenham/Ham/Richmond area.
The Cabbage Patch is a fabulous race and volunteering is both rewarding and enjoyable. All volunteers will receive lunch and a drink at the Cabbage Patch pub after the race, as well as a Cabbage Patch 10 race t-shirt.
The race begins at 9 am and a volunteer briefing is usually held around an hour before the start, with most tasks expected to be completed by 12pm.
The Stragglers have helped us greatly this year at our own races so volunteering would be a fabulous way to give something back to our good friends.
