Thursday 28th April Memorial Service for JOHN BRYANT
John Bryant, long-time President of Thames Hare and Hounds sadly passed away in April 2020. John was a friend of many at Ranelagh. He was a regular at the annual Mob Match and was at the centre of entertainment afterwards. To celebrate John’s life, his widow Carol, has at last been able to confirm a memorial service. It will be held on Thursday 28th April at 3pm in St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street, London EC4Y 8AU. All are welcome, but Carol would appreciate an email to let her know if you are coming. email: carolabryant@hotmail.com.
Saturday 30th April Mob Match against Thames Hare & Hounds 12k at home in Richmond Park 3pmstart
Owing to maintenance work in the Park it is unclear yet which course we will use for this late-in-the-season mob match. The start should be either at our usual spot beside Sidmouth Wood or possibly a short distance round the first corner. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find! As usual for mob matches we need as many people as possible to run. All welcome. Marshals needed too.
Sunday 8th May Ranelagh Richmond Half Marathon 8.30am start Run or Help
Details, map and Entry https://ranelagh-harriers.co.uk/events/ranelagh-harriers-richmond-half-marathon2022/ We’d like plenty of you to race, but we also need AS MANY VOLUNTEERS AS POSSIBLE for a variety of marshalling and course duties from 8am onwards. No experience necessary, just your support and commitment. The course passes through Richmond and Twickenham, down to Hampton Court Bridge and back up along the Thames towpath to Ham, so there’s a variety of locations to help out. This is one of Ranelagh’s key events, forming part of the club’s Summer Road Grand Prix, the club’s Half Marathon Road Championships, as well as part of the Surrey Road League and the Surrey County Half-Marathon Championships. It’s HUGE so we need lots of help. Whatever time you can give will be immensely helpful, so please email Trevor Maguire: ranelaghhalfhelpers@hotmail.co.uk
