23 March Inter Club: Ranelagh vs Milocarian AC vs The Stragglers πŸ’™πŸ’›

One more call out this season to the Ranelagh Harriers mob to come & run in Richmond Park @ 2pm Saturday 23 March, to support our club and for the chance to bellow our Club Cry:

Hobble Gobble
Razzle Dazzle
Zis Boom Bah
Ranelagh Ranelagh
Rah Rah Rah.

With club honour at stake, we need everyone to come on down to take back the Ellis Trophy from the mighty Milocarians, and to retain the Dysart Trophy (Women). Not to be dismissed are The Stragglers who are, as always, on top form.

To spice things up a bit, we’ve introduced a slight variation on the previous course. We’re still using the usual mob match route, but with the addition of a loop of Sidmouth Woods at the start.

Runners will start at the usual mob match start (by the tree) and go 1 lap around Sidmouth Woods. After passing the good old manhole, continue onwards down Queen’s Ride before taking a left up round the back of the Ballet School to follow the usual mob match route.

At the sharp right up the hill, you’ll come round the other side of the Ballet School, down to the path by Lower Pen Ponds. Continue along left by Lower Pen Ponds, to take the usual right at Pat’s Mound and up the path until the road by Oak Lodge, to skirt round Sidmouth Woods and end (finally) back at the manhole.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Distance: 5.5 mile (approx. 8-ish km) cross-country route in Richmond Park https://www.strava.com/routes/3202195314993347276 (or see map below)
🎽 Registration & Numbers: From 1pm @ top of Sidmouth Woods https://what3words.com/hips.couple.spit
⌚ Race start @ 2pm with results & tea back at the clubhouse
🏠 The clubhouse should be open and manned (by Carol) so stuff can be left before heading up to the start/finish. Alternatively, bring it to the start/finish as there will be a waterproof tarp to leave stuff.
⚠️ In accordance with UKA guidelines, please read our club’s disclaimer: https://ranelagh-harriers.co.uk/disclaimer

πŸ†˜ We also need volunteers to help with marshalling & time keeping on the day. Please email narissa.vox@gmail.com or andy.bickerstaff@goodrunguide.co.uk if you can help out.
