Event Details

A 5.5 mile (approx. 8km) cross-country route in Richmond Park to compete for the Ellis Trophy (Men) and the Dysart Trophy (Women). This has previously been organised with the participation of other clubs eg: Serpentine Running Club, Hercules Wimbledon AC and even a number of junior runners.

A call out to the Ranelagh Harriers mob to take back the Ellis Trophy from the strong Milocarians. The Stragglers are also on tremendous form, so club honour is very much at stake here.

As always, we require the efforts of every able-bodied Ranelagh Harrier to take back the Ellis Trophy and to retain the Dysart Cup. So once again, another call to arms to all Ranelagh Harriers to come for a ‘good run in the country side‘, to support our club and for the chance to bellow our Club Cry:

Hobble Gobble
Razzle Dazzle
Zis Boom Bah
Ranelagh Ranelagh
Rah Rah Rah.

A variation on an oldie, just to spice things up a little. The course is our usual mob match route, but with the addition of a loop of Sidmouth Woods at the start. We’ll start at the usual mob match start (by the tree) and go round Sidmouth Woods. As we pass the good old manhole, we continue onwards to head down Queen’s Ride and continue up to the Ballet School road. Then turn right and take the first right back down the side of the smaller of the Pen Ponds. Then it’s a left turn past Pen Ponds, taking a right at Pat’s Mound and up the path until you reach the road by Oak Lodge, to skirt round Sidmouth Woods and end (finally) back at the manhole.
