The world-famous London Marathon probably needs no introduction. Co-founded by Ranelagh Harrier’s very own Chris Brasher (his son Hugh is the current Race Director), the race inevitably acts as the club’s Marathon championships. Ranelagh typically receives a limited number of places in the marathon which are awarded to club members through a lottery. Several club members take part in the race every year and if you do manage to secure a place you will find plenty more lining the streets of London cheering you on.
