  • Main Document and Annex A: Please note that no changes are proposed to this part of the document (including no changes to subscription memberships).
  • Annex B Club Races and Club Championships (e.g. Club Trophies):Several changes proposed by the Committee and two proposals from members.

 
Proposed Updates agreed previously by the Committee for the Constitution:

  • Open (Wynne) Cross Country Sealed Handicap – Removed
  • Richard Clay Jones Pint (for first Over 50 Ranelagh member in the Thames Mob) – Removed.
  • C.H. Spendlove Cup – Removed as the Open 20 Mile trophy and repurposed for the Open Surrey League Champion (note there is an alternative members proposal below).
  • St Martha’s Ultra Trophy (and first 3 medals) for meritorious performances in ultra races/events – New trophy.
  • Women’s Surrey League Cross Country Championship trophy to be called the Hugh Jones Salver – New trophy.
  • Women’s Over 40 Surrey League Cross Country Championship trophy to be called the Trish’s Trophy – New trophy.
  • Women’s Over 50 Surrey League Cross Country Championship trophy to be called the Petersham Trophy – New trophy.
  • Women’s 10K Medal – Replaced by the Sonia Rowland Trophy.
  • Women’s 10 Mile medal – Replaced by the A.J. Hedger Cup.
  • A new trophy for the Road Running Grand Prix Women Over 40 – the Ellen Clague Trophy.
  • A new trophy for the Road Running Grand Prix Women Over 50 – the Vancouver Trophy.
  • A new trophy for the Road Running Grand Prix Women Over 60 – the Pat Hewlett Trophy.
  • The criteria for The Road Grand Prix (new text underlined) “…be open to all members who have competed in at least half of the races” has been added.
  • The criteria allowing officials at home events to count as scorers within the McLeod Cup has been removed.
  • Ratchford Relay – Regular club relay race for women/juniors, now formally added to the Constitution.
  • Henty Relay (the Kiwi Trophy) – Regular club relay race for all members, now formally added to the Constitution.
  • Other changes to Annex B have involved moving the text associated with some trophies to be repositioned in a different section of Annex B, but otherwise remain unchanged. And some minor ‘typos’ have been corrected.

 
Proposed Changes to the Constitution from club members:

  • A new trophy to be provided for the Women’s Performance Award (Proposed by Suzy Whatmore)
  • C.H. Spendlove Cup (Proposed by Jonathan Smith) – To be reinstated as the Open 20 Mile trophy.
  • A new trophy (Proposed by Jonathan Smith) to be provided for the Open Surrey League Champion Trophy.
  • A new trophy (Proposed by Jonathan Smith) to be provided for the Open V40 Surrey League Champion Trophy.
  • A new trophy (Proposed by Jonathan Smith) to be provided for the Open V50 Surrey League Champion Trophy.

 
Annex C Trust Arrangements – Proposal to change the existing Trustees.

6. Proposal to elect Vice Presidents or Life Memberships
7. Election of Officers for the 2024/25 Season
8. Any Other Business

Please see the Minutes of 2023 AGM, the Hon Treasurer’s Report, Annex B and Annex C of the Club Constitution, and finally the Proposed Ranelagh Officers List for 2024/25. Other reports will be added before the AGM, once they are ready.

Remember that the Executive Committee and Committee run the club on behalf of our members, so please join us so that you can see what is happening with your club and you can cast your votes when required.
